You find yourself on an island. You know why you're here. It doesn't mean it'll be easy.

Created by me (Kataraxie) for MiniJam 134, The Island's Eye is a walking simulator-like puzzle-ish game with a twist on the theme of happy pirates adventurers finding their way in the lush vegetation of tropical islands to search for a treasure chest full of gold.

Thrown in an unfamilar place with only a vague understanding of your mission, will you be able to get what you were looking for without a hitch? Explore seven (or infinite) randomly generated islands and found out by yourself!

really interesting, and I want to see more of the lore, but I have absolutely NO IDEA how to navigate these islands. I only managed to dig in the right spot on 2 islands, and they were both very small.

Sounds like the game is more confusing than intended x)

You are always looking at the tile that is in front of you, not the one you are standing on. Using the left and right arrows made you turn on yourself and look at another tile without moving. You need to try to understand where you are on the map using the configuration of the tiles around you. If that helps, you always hear the sounds of the tile you are on ! So if you manage to identify them, that can help.

Thank you for taking the time to play and to leave a comment, it means a lot :)

I eventually figured out how to orientate myself somewhat, but I didn't know that I was looking at the tile infront of me. I thought that when I was looking out on a beach, I was at the edge of the island. thank you!
